We’re obviously all beer lovers here. What beer do you think of fondly? Was it one you brewed? A microbrew you sampled while on vacation? A local brew or one of those ever increasing yummy commercial craft beers?

Samuel Smith’s Old Brewery Pale Ale – A perfect example of what beer should be. Good malt balance, not terribly overpowering yet still flavorful. I could drink it all night long. Also the head on it is creamy and delicious. Toasty, yeasty, British awesomeness with fruit hints. It’s nothing wacky, just a fantastic example of a style perfected.

Xaq knew when he asked what to brew for “me” for Porcfest last year that it would be a Leffe. That’s where the “Blond of the Dead” came from.

It gets you messed up pretty quick though…be warned! But so smooth, creamy and slightly sweet. I always seek it out at brew festivals and when I can afford it, it’s what I drink.
